can someone do me a favor

Can someone measure the distance from the bell housing mount surface of the block to the transmission output shaft splines on a T5 installed?

I need to know exactly the length of an instlaled T5 + bell housing combination to see if I can use it for a project, or if I need to modify my driveshaft.

Thanks!

A T5 and 700R4 use the exact same length driveshaft. I just took a T5 out and put a 700R4 in, and they measured exactly the same. Same shaft.

Duckman, what the hell is that second transmission? LOL. Three shifters?

Yeah, but I don't know how long a 700R4 for a camaro is vs Vette. I'm told a vette 700R4 won't work in a camaro, so I want to make sure I dont have to cut down my driveshaft (or extend it) when I convert to the stick.

haha.

Hopefully if I can sell this 700R4, and converter, and a few other things in my shop this vette will have a T5 soon.

I hope you are putting aftermarket gears in that T5, at a bare minimum. Your setup through a T5 is going to be brutal on it. The T5 internals are very very tiny and lightweight. I would want a trans blanket in between that thing and my legs, too.

Haha. You know in like 7 years I only broke one T5 with the supercharged firebird.. Who knows.

I'll probably use the T5 until I can afford a TKO, or a bulletproof rebuild.
