Car: 1989 Camaro RS

Engine: Modified 350 TPI

Transmission: Modified 700 R4

Axle/Gears: Posi 3.42

TV Cable swap.....TBI to TPI swap

So I finally received my new TV cable for later model TPI's. I swapped from TBI to TPI and now all I have left is change the cable. How do I swap it out? I have seen the tech article on Adjustment, but is there one on changing the cable? Do I have to drop the pan to access anything? And do I have to lower the trans to get to the bolt that holds the cable in the trans housing? Thanks-

You really should be able to access it, without removing anything. IIRC its a 10mm bolt. Just remove it, and pull the cables plastic end up, and the "throttle lever to cable link" out, and the end of the cable will slide off it. Reinstall the new end of cable, and the reinstall the plastic end of the cable, and adjust your new cable at the TB.

It would be best, to route the new cable under the TPI plenum.
