4th gen rear swap help

So im going to buy a 4th gen 3.43 posi disc brake rear for my '92 Heritage Edition. I know that it is a direct bolt it, but will someone PLEASEEE tell me how much overall longer is the 4th gen rear vs. the 3rd gen rear!! Ive looked all over and have seen many differnt nubmers, so if someone could tell me an accurate nubmer, that would be great.

Clearance problems with what???
The only issue I can see is if you use your 3rd gen wheels on that axle that they may stick out a bit and rub the fender lip,
this is a 4th gen rear with ARE 16" 3rd gen offset wheels,

And here is a 4th gen rear with my 16" GTA Wheels,

as stated above, you will not have any fitment issues at all installing this. Just make sure you get 4th gen wheels now. thats all. your only other issues will be the brake lines and the ebrake setup. real simple though just read through 12 billion threads there on on here about it.

You'll want to make sure to get 3rd gen e-brake cables as well. I got the 4th gen set with my rear, and they don't fit. Here is a shot of my car with the 4th gen rear installed.
PS, the plus with the 4th gen rear is that you can run 17x11s with the right offset and have no clearance issues.
