Here's the deal. I want to put a 3rd gen rear end into a 4th gen car. Long story but needless to say there is a very good incentive for me to do this, namely the 4th gen for some reason had a F**d 9 inch in in and all I have to do to get it is swap the guy my rear. I know I need wheel spacers, but my question is what will I need to get the e-brake to work? I know to swap the 4th gen rear into a 3rd gen you need to get different lines but what about the 3rd into a 4th? Length will be the issue correct? Let me know if anyone hads done this. I doubt it because usually the question would be "why?" but in this case I had a really good reason. Oh yeah, did I mention the 9 inch is a 35 spline, 4:11 posi'd, disc break'd unit to boot??!!!! SWEET!

Wow. Helpful! Just kidding. But really, I'm about to do this conversion and I'd like to have some idea of what I need before I get under the car and realize I have to go to the store 3 or 4 times to get it done.
Yeah you'll need the spacers as you already know. As far as hooking up the e-brake cables, send a PM to EBMiller88. He's the resident expert here on the boards when it comes to brake adaptations. He should be able to tell you whether you can just modify the existing cables or if you need to get different ones.
