I rebuilt the 700r4 in my truck. Everything seemed to be ok for the first 30-40 miles and then all that I had was reverse, no forward gears. They all seemed as if they were in nuetral. What could I have done wrong or what should I check for.

you do know the proper procedure for checking it do you not?

 

yes the fluid is at the proper level.

 

well I found my problem. I rolled one of the lip seals in the forward drum by accident.
