The Joys of Clutch cooking
I've Had the Spec Stage 1 in my 86 Trans-Am for about 2 months before i decided to go ahead and get a new shell to work with due to the extensive rot on the body. after pulling the motor and trans as one unit i went ahead and seperated the two, low and behold in the scattershield there was a layer of friction material (not good). After a few minutes of dissasembly, what do i find? well ill let the pictures speak for themselves.
Needless to say ive since upgraded to a spec stage 3. let the chatter begin
Im not running the most stout of motors but its no slouch
Pace Parts Vortec ZZ5 heads modified for high lift/ drilled and tapped for screw in studs
Crane Powermax H-272-2 cam intake is at .454 exhaust .480
Stamped Steel 1.5 rockers
010 block bored .40 over
Hyper pistons
cast crank
