273 to 373?

Engine: 383 stocker TPI
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3.73 posi
273 to 373?

my question is that can i just take the 273 gears out of my rear end (which is a one tire spinning machine) and put in 373 and a poertrax locking diff or is my stock housing to small......or should i just try to find a posi rear end from another camaro..........i have a modified L03 motor in my car and i'm trying to get a fastter ET at the track but i also drive it on the street/highway

Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
The gears and new carrier will bolt right in, as long as your axles have the same splines as the carrier with the Powertrax in it.

im about to do the same thing, how would i correct the speedo?
