yes, it is most likely easier to find a rear end(from a iroc z or z28) that is posi and has a decent amount of gear (that you want, i hear most have 3.42's. i just recently bought a posi (from a tgo member) from a newer f body. i have a set of gm's 3.73's from a monte carlo ss. you need to know the axle spline count( your car is a 91, the the spline count is 28) as far as converting your 10 bolt to a posi unit with some gears, i will tell you tomarrow. im goin out to my old technical school (mechanic, auto tech) and will be doing my swap in my 92 rs. i mnot sure what kind of problems i will run into. im not sure if i will need new shims and what not. this is goin to get interesting. if you find drain89 or somthing like that, he seems to know alot about this kinda stuff.

also remember. the series carrier (posi unit)you will need, i think anyhting below 3.08 is 2 series, and anything above 3.23 is 3 series?

im sure im missing a few details. but im tired and have been searching this site for a posi install for a while now, lol.

Have you though of just putting in a limited slip? Auburn makes a good product. You could pick one up from Summit. While not a posi it should do the job.

A posi is a limited slip for your info....Positration (AKA posi) was Chevelot trade name for a Limited Slip rear in the 60's.
