stall converter question

does anyone know for sure if a converter out of a 4thgen 3.8 camaro with a 4l60e trans will fit a 3rdgen v6 car with a 700r4???

it has the right bolt pattern and is the right size 9.5 inch but im unsure of the spline count on the 4thgen 4l60 transmissions
normally i wouldnt bother but im getting a good price on it and its a 3000+ stall converter,so it deff be a step up from my stock restalled converter

The spline count on the 700R4/4L60E is the same, 30. You have to look at the input shaft to make sure that the seal area for the TC lockup is the same.

the spline count on the v6 transmissions is 27 not 30
i was actually able to get the part number off the converter from the kid.
its a tci street fighter 10 inch 3k-3600 stall speed, 27 spline with an .825 pilot and it does fit the 700r4.after talking with the guy over at tci hes thinking the converter will stall around 4k on my engine, shoudl deff make for some interesting launches, considering with my old converter i could only launce with a few psi of boost,if this one does stal to 4k i should have 14+ psi off the line
im just hoping intown street driving wont suffer
