B&M Megashifter Problem

About a month back i would go to shift up or down and it wouldn't catch, i would do it again and i would shift. Then it straightned up and didn't do it again. Now i cant shift up into Neutral or down into 2nd or 1st. So i took the shifter out and noticed that the half moon shaped piece that is at the bottom that catches the teeth on the other plate is slipping on the plate, and its like its like the half moon piece is not going all the way to meet the plate to engage it.

Anyone else had this problem, also yall think i should get call summit because the shifter is only about 6 months old.

I would defiantly be looking into that either with summit or calling B&M about that!

Make sure that the cable is not binding as well, if it is, that can cause big problems...

No its not binding, when i push the plate that attaches to the cable by and try to shift, sometimes it will catch and try to shift. When the cable is disconnected, it will ratchet sometimes. With it on it wont ratchet at all. I think the extra resistance the cable produces is too much and the teeth on the shifter just slips, i just got a truck that im bout to start driving, im going to call summit to get them to replace it once i stop driving the maro.

Well the drive and reverse problems sounds like eighter the pin that goes acrouss the plates is messed up or the lever that you pull isnt coming all the way up. And you can get some of the parts for it here http://store.summitracing.com/partde...ew=4096&N=700+

i meant the hookup to the reverse position so the reverse lights will come on. and i think it actually might have been the neutral safety switch, come to think of it, but who needs that? anyhow, i still cant figure out why it will freely go from park to drive and back, but no further than drive.

once you get to drive, you have to release the small t-handle and ratchet it back to 1,2 and 3.
