need info on 4th gen 5 speed swap to 3rd gen
picked up nice 5 speed froma 95 camaro and want to put it inmy 86.looks alot alike EXCEPT my original bellhousing wont bolt that that transmission.the pattern isnt even close.do i have to get one froma 4th gen and then is the hydraulic clutch the same?

If you picked up a fourth gen 5 speed, it will only work behind a V6 car. All fourth gen V8's came with a manual tranny came with a BW T56 - 6 speed.
The five speeds were only in the 3.4 liter V6 cars.

So a 4th gen 5 speed will bolt straight into a v6 third gen? Do you need a custom crossmember and driveshaft? Is there anything else you have to swap?
