Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
If you want a manual transmission, and you want to be able to just put it in and be done with it, you need a T-5 out of a 82-92 Camaro or Firebird V8.

Please allow me to quote myself from a post you no doubt have already read when you let your eye wander down this page about 2", before you posted this. Ignore the parts that don't apply, in case your car already has them.
You need the T-5, bell housing, flywheel, clutch, shifter, hydraulics, console trim plate & boot, lower shifter boot, and pedal assembly, out of a V8 Camaro or Firebird from 83-92. Make sure you get EVERY PIECE of the pedal stuff; the bracket they mount in, the 2 braces that go down to the firewall, the switches, etc. If your car came with a T-5, some portion of that might already be there, I of course cannot see it clearly because your monitor is turned the wrong way from the front seat, so you'll have to be the judge. I'd suggest getting EVERY PIECE out of your donor car though, since it'll cost the same, and it's a whole lot easier to just not use something extra you have on hand, than it is to stop down and go back and get it in the middle of a swap-out.

No, a 6-cyl one will not work.

No, a Mustang one will not work.

No, a S-truck one will not work.

No, a 4th gen one will not work.

Did I miss any of the common "will a such-and-such work?" questions? Let's get those out of the way up front.

If you can, get one out of a 88-up TPI car.
Since you may not already have them, you may also need the crossmember, torque arm bracket (be aware that there are 2 kinds of those, with their "lips" turned in opposite directions, your bracket and your arm must match), and drive shaft.

I'm not sure what "budget" has to do with this... I suggest you plead that particular case with your car. Like, "please car, don't require this part or that one, I'm on a budget!" Seriously, parts cost what they cost, not a whole lot any of us around here can do about that.
