I have a 91 Camaro RS that had the T-5 and I bought a used T-56 from a 94 Camaro on e-bay it came with everything that I needed and a used SPEC stage 3 clutch that supposedly had 500 miles on it but it actually looked pretty used. I installed everything today except for the fourth gen pedals. Everything started out great today but ended up in a disaster. First, after everything seemed to be installed properly all I had to do was connect the master cylinder rod to the third gen clutch pedal and I wasn't able to fully install the rod but I did a bit of a temp install so that I could get my car home. The very first time that I press on the clutch it is incredibly tight. I applied a little more pressure and pop, there goes my slave cylinder. I turn on the engine so that I can have some power steering and I was gonna see if I could manage to hammershift the car home. I tried to put the car into first gear and as I was expecting some resistance from the transimission, it went right in to gear with out a problem it went in to every gear actually, but the car didn't move one bit. There was no feeling of the transmission engaging going from neutral to any other gear. Then I also noticed a loud squeel coming from under the car that I still haven't determined what it was. If you guys could please give some tips on what to do to secure the master cylinder rod to the clutch pedal that would be great. Now for the slave cylinder blowing up my theory is that I didn't properly install the fork on the throw out bearing which is very possible. For the transmission feeling like it wasn't even connected to the engine I think that I may have gotten screwed with the clutch and now it's just slipping constantly, and that could also explain the squeel that I was hearing. Please HELP ME! I can get another slave cylinder from autozone in a couple of days but I don't think that's going to fix everything. I don't know exactly how this clutch setup works so i'm not sure what's wrong.
