Speedo not working. Electric Speedo from 91 700r4
i have an 86 trans am, but the transmission is from a 91 half ton 2 wheel drive.
my speedometer never worked since i bought the car so i decided enough is enough. do you think its just the 2 prong pigtail i need to replace in the tailshaft?
is it a big job?

Transmission: Tremec T56
Axle/Gears: 12-Bolt 3.73
I've seen truck transmissions with reluctor wheels instead of speedo gears, so you'd need to swap those out. You might need to remove the tranny to do it, so yes its a big job.
