manual valve body
is it possible to have my 700R4 with a manual valve body so when i put it in Overdrive, the automatic part takes over, but when i want to, i can select the gears manually (like a manual valve body).
see...the reason i ask is because i wanna take my maro to the track once in a while, but i dont wanna have to shift gears every time i wanna get there. is it possible to have automatic on the streets and then manual at the track?
any insight would be great.

Not sure if one is available for the 700R4 but I had a similar one in a TH400 I used to use. If in D, it would shift like a normal automatic but I could start in first and hold it as long as I wanted until I decided to shift to second. Same thing for second gear allowing manual shifting through the gears.

I thought that the Hurst (or B&M Cant rember) was for.
Dual gate shifter, meant you could run it in stock gears, or flip the gate and put it into race mode where you have to shift it, so it doesnt overshift.

Yeah i have the same thing this is what he is talking about. Its a manual/automatic valve body put it in 2nd, drive, or Overdrive and it will automaticly shift to theat gear up hold it untill shifted higher. Or you can shift it your self you know whatever you like.
