Draining tranny fluid question.

I'm gonna drive to Autozone and get a tranny filter kit and fluid. The fluid should be hot enough to change by the time I get back. Is it better to use a gasket or some form-a-gasket or both? I got a '91 RS with a 3.1 auto.

Install the gasket dry. If you need to hold it in place, a thin smear of vaseline is ok.
