Shifter options

I have been looking into a new shifter (and even just shift *****, but nothing really worthwhile yet). The only shifter I see that is a nice one that will fit in properly is the Mega shifter. What else is out there that is a direct replacment without getting what everyone else has?

Hurst 2920000 Dual Gate Shifter. They are no longer made but some new ones still avaliable from various parts houses and E- Bay motor vendors. Do a search on Google for specs and photos. Badman

Re: Shifter options

Either the B&M Mega Shifter or the Hurst Dual Gate. I have installed both. The Hurst Dual Gate is built way better than the B&M Mega Shifter. But I like the looks of the mega shifter a little ibt better. There are pro's and con's to both shifters though.

Mega Shifter:
You have to hack up your wiring harness and your plastic console plate. It isn't built very well, parts are known to break. the instructions are pretty clear, straight forward.

Dual Gate
Built strong, sturdy shifter, you don't have to hack up anything. Comes with a new console plate. The instructions suck, horrible pictures to help with the installation

I'm sure people have had different experiences with both shifters...these are just some of the things I've noticed with both since I've installed both shifters. Good Luck
