problems after my rear swap

I just finished my 10 bolt swap today, I put a 2001 LS1 rear in it, with the 3.42 gears since it was an M6 car. The swap wasn't difficult at all, it was a direct bolt in as most of you know. But the problem I am experiencing I'm not even sure if it's related to the gears at all. The only reason I'm assuming it is related is because it was never an existant problem until just now. What I'm seeing is this:

-Under normal driving, say from 30-45 mph, just cruising around the engine speed flutters. Almost like it's choking for fuel.
-The car actually died on me when I was backing into a parking space at work. Wierd.

This probably has nothing to do with the gears, or does it? I haven't swapped the speedo gear yet, I have to run up to the dealership this week and get one that works with the gears. I'm just hoping I don't have a fuel pump going out or something stupid like that.

Re: problems after my rear swap

i'd suspect your problem is unrelated to the swap

Re: problems after my rear swap

Did you put the LS1 rear in the IROC with the stock rims? I was going to do this, but it appears to stick out to far on each side. Got any pics?

The prob you're having would not be related to the rear if it's stalling.

Re: problems after my rear swap

I didn't think it would have anything to do with the rear, just making sure. This sucks

No I put it on the convertible, so I got to ditch my rear 2" spacers behind the ZR1's

Re: problems after my rear swap

just a guees but since yours is a 91 it has speed density and it uses the vss to send speed and data to the engine? not sure if that correct lol, but maybe with the new gears its not reading right and is telling your car your moving slower or faster not sure? as you can tell im just guessing not really sure how factual my information is but maybe something to look into maybe someone one here can make more sense of what im trying to say
