Transmission: factory
Axle/Gears: factory
91V8 305 rs maro drives well in 1st& 2nd (auto tranny)
i have a 91 rs. v8 tbi 305. i was wounering if anyone has any idea what could be wrong. it drives well put it in 1st gear, second gear= it drives, then i put it in drive and it will not go more then 40 mph it wont engage 4th gear or 5th gear im not sure exactly. its an automatic.
any ideas?

Yeah its only a 4spd, but yeah it sounds like ya got a junk tranny!

yea its a 4speed wit overdrive. its hella weird man. great new tranny here i come

thats what i meant 4speeds 1, 2 , Drive and overdrive
