Re: 60ft's with a stick.. post times here..
Car is not set up for drag racing but my best 60 ft n/a is 1.793 and best on nitrous is 1.62. The e.t. and mph is in my sig. I hope to get more experience at the strip this year. Not sure how long the 9 bolt will hold up.
Tires were MT ET drag radials 245/50/16.

Best is 1.79, 2 weeks ago was:
1.848
8.259 @ 87.86
12.660 @ 114.1
and
1.823
8.219 @ 88.55
12.619 @ 113.89
Using 275/50/15 MT drag radials.
That was with a smoked trac-lok in the 9inch. I've since replaced the clutches in the posi and shimmed them a little tighter. I'm hoping the wornout posi is the reason it won't 1/8 mile.

i was running 285 kumos (i forget the exact model). with a 17 wheels. unfortunately on that run i missed a gear so my time was complete crap. all my other runs were around 2.0 range.

car was rated at 320hp, but weighed 4050 with me in it. 96 3000GT VR4, quick out of the hole and up to the 1/8th but pulls slower to the 1/4 due the AWD drag.

Ok, best from me in my thirdgen is 1.99 with street tires.
305 LG4 5 speed with a 9.5 1/8th and 14.9 1/4 mile time (my old 86 Trans Am).
My average is 2.0 on street tires.

hey man, your second run is about my average.. but with a 8.0xx-8.1xx average 1/8th.. your trap speed says you can go faster.. quite a bit faster.. during my best run, i 60ft .01 faster, 1/8th .3 faster, 1/4 .2 faster and trap 3mph slower..
and i believe i run the same mph on the 1/8.. you missing shifts?? you most definitely are not powershifting or even slamming shifts or that would be a LOW 12.. with your mph, your 1/8 should be at least 7.8.. practice banging them gears..
EDIT: it should be 12 FLAT or high 11

1.98 60 ft 14.3 @ 95 or so.. I forget exactly not sure if that run is in my pile of timeslips.
That was on an 86 firebird that was a V6 and I threw in a 5.7/ T5 combo, with 3.23 gears. Regular tires ( well worn Eagle GS-C ), and all stock V6 suspension.
Hopefully I can get the 88 back together and make it to the track a few times this year to see what the T56 and 4.10s do.

Re: 60ft's with a stick.. post times here..
I know. I'm not powershifting, but not granny shifting either. The second run I dumped it at 5K and it didn't leave that hard. Clutch is ok, so I'm thinking the track is masking some tire slippage with the smoked posi. I'm gonna run it again in the next couple of weeks and see what happens. I'm also gonna play around with shift points; it did pop the rev-limiter in 1st and 2nd on both runs.

Best 1.66, average between 1.66-1.69. 5K on 2nd yellow, stand on it and side-step the clutch. All on 17" wheels with Nitto DR's.

Re: 60ft's with a stick.. post times here..
The car's been down 2-1/2 years and I've moved 3 times.... I'll try to dig up a slip.
I ran an 11.72 in the high 130mph range at Orlando, but my mph was always lower(and probably more true) at Bradenton - high 120's to low 130's. The car was fairly consistent 11.7X range, 1.6X 60fts. - I believe 1/8 was 7 with a teen.
My info and set-up has been posted many times. One of the biggest keys I've found in suspension tuning for street tires is an aggressive pinion angle and not "airing down" the tires.

Re: 60ft's with a stick.. post times here..
First trip out to the track with the LS1 and my 60' sucks **** best of 1.96
Best time was a 12.3 with a 1.99 60' at 115mph so I am definitely looking for improvement. Running ET street radials 275/40/17 on fairly heavy Borbet wheels front and back.
I have good suspension too; LCA's w relocation brackets and Spohn adjustable torque arm cross member mounted. I'm hoping more burn out and a trip in the daytime with some heat in the pavement will get me hooking. i was blazing through most of first and getting **** all weight transfer out of the hole. Gonna try more aggressive pinion angle too and hope for better
