Re: pinion shaft removal
pin is out ,but how do you get the c clips off, since the clutches are in the way??even pushing in the axles, there is no clearance to get the c clips?my open rear was no problem, but didn't have the limited slip either

The clutches aren't in the way. You just push the axles in and the clips fall out. Same as an open diff.
As I probably told whoever asked that same question that you found the answer by searching, in order to take the bind off of the side gears, you need to take the tension off the clutches. It would have been best to do it before taking the pin out, so that the side gears would have been captivated in the right spot to make putting the pin back in easy. Oh well. Or, the REALLY best thing, would have been to drive the car in a STRAIGHT LINE for a bit before taking it apart. The clutches get that way from the last thing you did before taking apart, having been going around a turn.
