What / how much fluid?

I'm just wrapping up an F-body T-5 into an S10 swap, and I've come to the point that I need to fill the tranny with fluid / lube. Anyone have recommendations on what to use, and how much I need? The tranny came out of a 1991 IROZ camaro, but according to the tag it started its life behind an 85 5.0 (# is 1352-072). TIA

If it is an 85 tranny it would take gear oil 80-90 should do. If it is an 88 and later it will take ATF . I have had both and run ATF in them with know trouble .Looks good but where is the clutch pedal LoL

Re: What / how much fluid?

I have an '85 TA w/ a T5 and it was recommended to run ATF in it. The shop said gear lube would be fine, unless it would be run in cold weather.

Re: What / how much fluid?

It did look like it had gear lube in it before it was shipped to me (dry of course) ...

As for the clutch, I haven't filled the system yet so I had the pedal depressed to start the truck and it just stayed down
