T5 issue
Today i was driving my car and i stopped for a red light. When i went to take off the shifter popped outta 1st gear. I tried to force it to take off in first, but it gets to one area on a gear i presume and pops out of gear. So, is it a syncro, bad first gear, or shifter problem? All the other gears seem fine so i can isolate it down to first gear. Also, when on the highway in 5th gear, it makes a high pitched whine only when power is being applied and goes away when power is taken away(let off gas). Thanks, shelby

Re: T5 issue
Popping out of 1st gear = the "sleeve" for 1st & 2nd
Pretty much a complete tear-down/rebuild, plus that one hard part
Probably cheaper to just buy a junk one

Re: T5 issue
Thank you. Sounds like the perfect time to put a 700r4 in. 2.8 t5 to a 305-700r4......good move? The 305 setup is free so all i need is the conversion parts.
