700R4 Lockup Problem

I was driving 30 miles on the interstate yesterday and noticed that the TCC was unlocking and relocking every few minutes. I did have the A/C on low and it was cycling, can this effect it? I thought all it did was extend a plunger to idle the car a little higher when it engages. On the return trip home, it held steady. Tried turning on the A/C and it was still OK. What things do I look for to chase this problem down? Also if I connect a toggle switch to the ALDL pins for the TCC, does this completely overide the TCC from the computer and brake switch? Which pins are they? A and K?
Thanks

Re: 700R4 Lockup Problem

werll overriding the converter lockup will only reduce your trans' life. were you going up hill or down hill at all? there are a bunch of things that come into account when lockup occurs...braking is one of them...temp is another. its possible that one of those things prevented lockup from ocurring. it could also be how much throddle you were giving...at a certian throddle position, the lockup will disconnect.
