No, the bellhousing bolt pattern is different on the V6 and V8 700R4s.
Re: verify 700r4 trani
Best of luck with the swap. I am looking for a Gen 3 Camaro, and have been leary of RSs. I figured the v6 to V8 swap may be a little more than I am looking to strap onto. I have a mildly worked 350 from a 70 Camaro that I wanted to stick into the 80's-early 90's body style. However, I figured if I find an original 305/350 car, I can just bolt everything from the original motor onto my block.
BTW, do you know if all IROC's came with the 700R4?
