700R4->th350
700R4->th350
Is going from a 700R4 to a thm 350 a sraight across bolt in?
I just got my 82 z-28 running,(didnt run when I got it) and when I put it in gear it makes a noise like something in the trans isnt hooking all the way up.. pretty much like metel to metal noise... does go into gear, just real loud... I am in ther prossess of pulling the pan and looking it over, just wondering what my options might be...

That depends on what you call a straight across bolt in, the TH-350 will bolt up to a small block easy as pie, but you may have to redesign how you mount the transmission on the tailshaft because it wont line up with the factory mount from the TH-7004. The TH-350 is shorter then the TH-700R4 so you will also need a longer driveshaft. Not to mention a shifter that cooperates with everything, as well as torque convrter lockup
