will a 4L60E stall work on 700r4?

hello

I was considering buying a vigilante stall from a 460le for my 700r4. will this work, or is there something i am not considering?

That depends...

What year is your tranny?

What was the 4L60E TC made for?

The 84-97 700R4 has a 30 spline input shaft(1.703" pilot), same goes for 93-97 4L60E & 97-05 C5 4L60E vettes

The pre 84 700R4's used a 27 spline input shaft with either a 1.703" or .825" pilot

98+ Fbody 4L60E's along with 99+ truck 4L60E's are also a whole different ballgame.

i have a 700r4 out of my 89. I was thinkin of buying a used vigilante but its out of a 4l60e, im not sure of the year, and i wasnt sure how the lockup is controled.

ill ask about the year.

IMHO, all convertors from 87 thru 97 or so will interchange.
I'm using a 96 4L60E S10 V6 convertor in my 91 700R4. Works great and has a little more stall.

Yes, if the TC was off of a LT1 car it should pop right on to your tranny.
