im 16 and im tryin to fix up my camaro, but i don't know alot about the computer comtrolled stuff on our cars...if you swap a 91 camaro TBI to a 5 speed would you have to change any computer stuff?....and what about a 6 speed out of a 93-97 camaro?

 

Yes you can swap in either and no, you don't have to mess with your ECM (computer). The T5 is the cheaper swap but the T56 can take more abuse. Do a search and you'll find a guide for the swaps. This topic has come up a great deal in the past few weeks.

I'm finishing up an auto to T5 swap this week. You need to do your reasearch and understand everything you need to do for the swap. It isn't hard but it can be daunting for a beginer as you will have to do some cutting on your firewall and the transmission tunnel.
