Only two valve body check *****!

I had the valve body out to clean it, and it only had two ***** in it. It was not in the places that I keep seeing in the pictures as well as haynes transmission manual.

Anyone have a diagram for 1992 700r4. I am assuming that its the hydraulic... eeeeerrrr brain fart. You know what I am talking about.

Also got the B&M shift kit and I only plan on installing the milder RV/Towing version. Don't want to go Transgo, not enough money, wanna save for a new tranny.

Where can I get those check *****, or the sets for 700R4??? Need to know very soon. Please.

Re: Only two valve body check *****!

If someone has already installed a shift kit, it may not have all the *****. Some shift kits eliminate a few of the check *****.

Re: Only two valve body check *****!

The tranns shifts so mellow even with the vette servo. I don't believe it has a shift kit.

How many check ***** should be on the valve body itself?

Doing it tommorow, so I hope someones got it.

Re: Only two valve body check *****!

You will have 4 in the case, and 2 in the valve body, 1 in the aux. body.

Re: Only two valve body check *****!

I remember going to school and having to rebuild a TH350. I believe there are 5 check ***** in it. The instructors would always take one away to make you think.

I don't think like that. If I'm missing a part that I know I'm supposed to have, I'll just go get another one. Now if they added an extra ball, you would have to think more about where it has to go. Normally if I have an extra part and I know it's not needed, it gets tossed I'll probably look for it later when I discover that I did need it. Some stupid little bracket or clamp.

OK, 4 check *****. It's been at least 25 years since I took apart a TH350. My car has a powerglide in it

Re: Only two valve body check *****!

Got it in, had a auto tranny shop do it. Took them about 4 hours and they adjusted my TV cable and it held first a little to long for my tastes. I called and they told me that they adjusted it with pressure gauge and that its where its suposed to be by B&M directions. I took it back just a tiny bit and now the shifts are firm, but not too hard. Thats what I went with and it mostly eliminated my 2-3 flare up. All in all I am happy.

One question I have is... The TV cable was almost pressed in all the way when I got the car back. My TV cable did not adjust how they described (the ratcheting forward to position) so the only way to adjust it is to do it with the gauge. Do you think thats something thats normal, or is it really time for new TV cable??

I think I will invest in a gauge.
