shifter
I've got a th350 in my 85 camaro with the stock shifter. Now the car had another th350 in it from january to the beginning of febuary(unknown mileage or condition upon installation) and the car had every gear available. now the trans will not get park. is this just because the fresh trans doesnt have as much play in it as the old one or is the shifter the problem? Please come up with a speedy response the no park situation makes parking a real pain in the undercarriage.
Also, when i was installing the trans, one of the guys helping me told me that i didnt need anything to seal the cooler lines, and now they are leaking a little bit when i park the car. one of the guys at work told me that i should use teflon tape/paste on the fittings to seal them. which way is correct?

Re: shifter
I am in the same boat your in I just replaced my 700r4 and now the linkage is about a 1/4 off and wont let the tranny go into park. As for the the tranny lines I have done the both ways you might just have to tighten them a little more and if the dosent solve it go for the teflon.
