Driveshaft won't come out

Hey guys, I went to pull my driveshaft today so I removed the four retaining bolts, but I can't get the driveshaft out, is there anything else I need to do?

Re: Driveshaft won't come out

Make sure you mark both ends of the driveshaft in relation to the transmission tailhousing and the pinion yoke. This will make it easier when reinstalling. With the pinion straps removed you will have to slide(slip)the driveshaft yoke back into the trans to get the driveshaft to clear the pinion yoke. You may have to gently pry the driveshaft out of the pinion yoke.Be careful with the tail housing seal when removing/installing the driveshaft. Also you may get some transmission fluid seeping out when you pull the driveshaft. And if you are reusing the driveshaft/u-joints run some tape around the pinion end u-joint to retain the caps.Hope this helps.
