I never worked on a car before. How do I rebuild my engine?

Too many people are not mechanically inclined enough to do any work on vehicles. I'm not saying everyone is an idiot but I just see too many questions about automotive mechanics that just shouldn't be answered in case someone screws up really bad because they're trying to do something that they just shouldn't try to tackle.

No offense to you but this thread is heading that way.
