so with the clutch completely out it is acting as though it were in neutral? even though you have it in a certain gear?

how about reverse?

couldn't find any symptom like that in my service manual, sorry.

however, id imagine for some reason the clutch isn't engaging the flywheel. so....problem in the hydraulics (check for leaks in the system at the pedal itself or under the car at the slave), or an internal problem, like a worn out bearing.

i doubt anything is wrong with the transmission itself, or it would've let you know with a a really loud, awful sound

the nylon bushing in the base of the shifter may have worn through, I had 2 T-5's do this, and 1 was stuck in neutral and one got stuck in 5th, just un-bolt the shifter and take a look, the GM part is no longer avaiable, but as of 2002 the ford one (which is identical) is still being sold

just started her up and put her in reverse tryed to back up, she moves but barely, which probably means i fried that clutch good, keep in mind though thats the stock clutch which has been in there for 16 years
