tires too wide for drivetrain...
I've read some rumorous comments about wide tires overstraining the drive train... any comments on this?
and, yes, I've searched...
Looking to put 285/40 or 50 R15 on a stock 86 TA, all the way around...
Thinking about 10"rims...
I had an 84 and put some wide tires (can't remember size)... there was some rubbing in the front when steering through a tight parking lot, but not too bad...
commentos?

Overly wide tires add rolling resistance. I can't see how that effects the drivetrain.
