Ford 9" What pinion yoke lenght to retain stock driveshaft?
I'm having a 9" third member build for me. As of right now he will be installing a 1330 "short" yoke.
I need to know if this is the right yoke lenght so I can keep my stock lenght driveshaft. From what info I found the short yoke is 4" overall and the long yoke is 5" overall lenght.
I know I will need the 3R to 1330 U joint but thats no prob.
I have untill the morning of the 22nd to call him and make changes as it will be shipped out in the afternoon on the 22nd.
Thanks guys..

I would also like to know this. I will be building a 9" soon and I will need to find an appropriate yoke.

Re: Ford 9" What pinion yoke lenght to retain stock driveshaft?
Well I just got off the phone with Moser. The tech guy said they use a 1350 yoke on their bolt in rears. The lenght on the yoke is 4-1/8" to U joint center.
Most ford 9" stock will have a 1330 yoke.
From my searchs I found theres 2 lenghts for the 1330 yokes.
A "short" which is 4" over all, and a "long" that's 5" over all. I'm not sure if thats real over all lenght or to U joint center though.
For the stock steel driveshaft.. It uses a 3R u Joint.. To convert to a 1330 you need a conversion joint.
Auto zone, advance auto, etc sells a 'brute force' brand that I like. The PN for the right joint to convert them two is 2-1569BF
Maybe this info will help someone in the furture.
