Clutch part #

I apologize if this has been posted already but I am not in the mood to search the entire site just for a single piece of info.

Does anyone have the correct part number for a 1987 H code clutch? Its all i need to get my car going. I swaped an 84 G code 305 for the 87 H code bec the G code was blown. When i did the swap i realized that the G code flywheel wont fit so i discovered that the flywheel for the 87 was twice the size of the 84. Upon discovering this i also know i need to switch out the clutch as well. But I want to make sure i have the right part number before I put in my order because of the motor being a combination of the HO and normal 305.

Again I need the part number of the clutch for the 1987 H code 305 and It should mate up with the bigger flywheel. (Why they made it bigger only god knows)

Thanks

They didn't.

The flywheels for these cars are ALL the same size. No other size flywheel will fit. If you have a flywheel that's bigger, then it's not the one for one of these cars, and it WILL NOT work. You MUST get the right one; the bell housing WILL NOT go back on over a larger flywheel.

However, a 1987 motor has a 1-piece rear main seal, but a 84 motor has a 2-piece rear main seal; and the bolt pattern on the back of the crank is different. So your 84 flywheel won't fit your 87 motor either.

The same clutches fit all these cars with T-5s, from 83 to 92.

Sounds like you need a clutch for 83-92 V8 Camaro/Firebird T-5, and a flywheel for 86-92 V8 Camaro/Firebird T-5.

I suggest this clutch http://store.summitracing.com/partde...CTF%2DDF161056 and this flywheel http://store.summitracing.com/partde...t=CTF%2D700170

If it's 86-up, yes. 85-back = 2-pc, 86-up = 1-pc.
