Re: th350 install question
The transmission mount isn't specific to the tranny however the tranny crossmember will need to be modified. The TH350 mount sits about 2" farther ahead than a 700R4. Since there were never any factory TH350's put into third gens, you'll have to modify the crossmember or buy an aftermarket one.
If you're still using a factory torque arm, nows a good time to upgrade. You can buy a Spohn torque arm with a tranny crossmember designed for a TH350. The crossmember/torque arm package also moves the torque arm mount to the crossmember since there's no place to mount it on a TH350.

Re: th350 install question
or find a TH200C crossmember
if possible
glad my 82 was TH200C
or you could just make a mount extender out of a plate of steel
simple
all you need is four holes in it and youre good to go
this is what i would do if i were to put a th50 in place of a 700r4
simple easy and quick and cheap and it will work just fine no problem
all you need is a torch or saw, and a drill
and a piece of steel
search feature is broken for a good week or longer,, go look in the site boards there is a thread about the search feature being down
good luck

Re: th350 install question
For the short time that I had a TH350, I simply welded on a plate extension for the mount.

I have a B&M 350 install kit w/torque arm adapter for sale if you are interested. Bolts a 350 in with stock crossmember and rubber mount.
Also have a B&M ratchet shifter from my 87 Z-28.

Re: th350 install question
All I did was grind the rivets off the stock rubber mounts and bolt them to the B&M bracket. It was 12 years ago, but I remember that I did not need any parts other than the ones in the kit and the stock rubber mounting pads.
