did burnout, now car whines?
I installed a low mileage auburn posi unit a few months ago in my car. I've put about 5,000 miles on it so far, well long story short, I got mad at my room mate today and did a big burnout as I left the drive way, and heard a couple loud 'clunks' but I thought it was the usual wheel hop i have. the car wasn't warmed up, but it hasn't got below 60*s around here for awhile. now I hear a loud whine mostly on decelaration (sp) the car runs and drives fine but is loud now...I'm lost, I guess I'll do a fuild change later, what to look for besides metal shavings?

Wheel hop breaks lots of stuff. I would not bash on Auburn. Your driving probably broke it.

it was the first burn out I've done since the install, I'm not really blaming auburn, but I probably won't buy from them again.

You should have been there when I broke the powertrax no-slip locker. Goosed it in the rain to kick the car sideways a little while leaving a friend's work parking lot. Heard a little TINK and I had one wheel drive. The thing jammed open on the passenger side delivering 100% of the power to the driver side wheel, really weird to drive.
