Re: which converter better?
whats the duration on the cam? do you street drive it alot?
if you drive it alot i'd stay with the 3000 stall. 3600 is for a hot 350 build

Re: which converter better?
my buddy had a much milder 350 in his truck and used a 3500 stall. vortec heads/ performer rpm, 750cfm carb, LT1 cam. around 350-360hp. i'd stay 3600 wouldnt be too bad but maybe something abit smaller would work like a 3400.
sounds like a good combo tho. those heads and compression with that cam should make some power. i think possibly a 3600 stall would work for that combo...but hopefully someone else would come in here and give some advice. I'd rather have alittle less converter than too much.
and especially with 4.10 gears out back in a 350 trans. 3000 may work fine for that. its a ton better than 2200 stall

Re: which converter better?
cam is a bit small for anything over 3k stall speed
- personally I wouldn't buy B&M crap. I save my money and buy something that's actually going to hold up. - "If you can't afford to do it right the first time can you afford to do it again?"

Re: which converter better?
The B&M has no lockup clutch. I would never use a 700R4 converter without lockup for street driving. They took the cheap and easy way out making that converter.

The BEST converters on the planet!!!

If im not mistaken you can get that unit at any stall speed you want.
Give them a call they are a great bunch of guys. Have used many of their units in various applications from street/strip to outlaw 10.5. They will ask ya a hundred question about the car to be sure they build you the rite unit.
The shaft you have listed will call for about 2800 stall. Keep in mind to that the trans will run MUCH hotter with more stall, so get a GOOD cooler on that puppy
