Someone at a boneyard just recently told me that a 4L60 would fit into a thirdgen camaro. I tried to search the forums but I keep getting a database error, so I'm not sure if there is actually a precedent for this. I know that in 1993, the camaro got a non-computer-controlled version of the trans, which may be my ticket.

Anyone know whats up with that?

 

The 700/4l60 will work in a third gen.
If it has a tv cable, it is a non electronic trans.
