I'm swapping a T56 into an 89 GTA which had a 700R4 in it. I bought a new 700r4 transmission mount to use but upon trying to use that the Skulte crossmember would not line up with the frame rail holes. So I exchanged that mount for a 4th gen 96 Camaro T56 mount. That too didn't work. I then bought a mount which I guess is for 2nd gen Camaros where the mounting brackets line up perfectly with the bolt coming down where the crossmember hooks up. This one worked. My question is what kind of transmission mounts is everyone here using for their T56 swaps and has anyone else run into this problem?

 

Custom modified 4th gen, then changed to full tubular mount with torque arm mount on it.

 

If you are talking about the rubber mount, I just reused the one that I had for the 700R4. Worked fine with no issues.

 

Weird I couldn't get my on with the 700R4 one. The crossmember would just not line up and couldn't even get bolts in. Well every car is somewhat different.
