Re: Rear end swap

Yank it out and find a 10 bolt with a posi from a third or fourth gen. The 9 bolt is stronger but parts are non existent.

Re: Rear end swap

I BELieve that all parts from the 3rd gen rears and 4th gen rears should bolt right up the same as the 9 bolt. the only difference is most 4th gens have disk brakes so you would have to convert.not hard though its just a few brake lines. the 4th gens E- BRAKE are the only thing that doesn' fit perfectly but can be fabricated to work. also the 4th gens rears are about 3.5-3.8 inches wider than the 3rd gens so it looks like you have wider tires. do a search on this board you will find more info.
----------
does anyone know what rear ends 4th gen wise come with posi. is it any v8 93-02 camaro or firebird or was it an option? let me know how to tell statistically because i'm looking into buying one and i want to make sure it has posi .
