Driveline Vibration? Oh Noooo!
Well, I have a problem, I get a surging vibration when I accelerate. It doesn't happen all the time, but occurs often enough. It feels like a grinding and it surges in and out. If I let off the gas and punch it down to drop a gear it smooths out and stops. It usually is at lower speeds and can be at say 2000 + rpm. It doesn't do anything while idling. Only when you are first accelerating, and again, it doesn't do it every time. The felling and noise almost made me think bottom end, but the fact that it doesn't always do it and that it doesn't do anything at idle threw me off. I checked the Universals which all seemed fine, but maybe they are seized, I never ripped em apart that far yet. Torque converter and flex plate bolts all seem fine and tight, this is really bothering me. Could it be in the tranny?
