Driveshaft Removal.
Hi guys, continuing the saga of removing my engine, i've got to the part of removing my driveshaft. Ok well I've removed the four bolts and the two covers that secure the shaft to the diff like the Haynes manual says but it doesn't tell/show you that it's held in place with two 'C' type clips and a piece of metal that runs through the shaft from one clip to the other. Does anyone know how to remove these without damaging the shaft, and after is there any special way of putting it back together?
Cheers, Speed.

Re: Driveshaft Removal.
That clip isn't holding the drive shaft in place. All it's for, is to hold the U-joint together so that the caps don't come off and the rollers in there fall out, during manufacturing.
Put something between the U-joint and the big nut right behind it, and pry gently. The U-joint will pop right out of the yoke.

Thanks Sofa, yep it did pop out! Just didn't want to force anything without checking what you guys thought first.
Thanks again, Speed
