3-4 accum in a manual v-body question?

I need help im in the middle of installing a manual valve body from tci in my 700r4.... i have gotten to this step

Step 7 Remove the remaining valve body bolts except for one near the center of the valve body. Holding the valve body securely, remove the last bolt and lower the valve body, separator plate and gaskets. Remove the 3-4 accumulator spring, 3-4 piston seal, 3-4 accumulator piston and 3-4 accumulator piston pin. Some of the accumulator assembly parts will drop out of the valve body as it is lowered. There are several check ***** above the separator plate and in the valve body. Be careful not to lose them if you are intending to return transmission to O.E.M. specifications at a later date. Before removing any check ***** from the valve body, note their locations for future reference.

Now I'm stuck at step 8 as it tells me to put the separator plate and gaskets back on. Does that mean i am not re-installing the 3-4 Accumulator spring, piston seal, piston, and piston pin??? There would be no way to install them after the gaskets and separator plate are installed.

Heres the instructions..... http://www.tciauto.com/Products/Inst...76010_inst.htm

Thank you to anyone who can help.

Make sure the bore is in good condition, if not you will have to block the 4th accumulator, and make sure the pin it somewhat tight in the piston, if not replace the pin, seal, and piston.

so does that mean it has to be reinstalled? was this just carelessness in the writing of the directions? or just common knowledge; everyone knows the transmission needs this part! or is it really not necessary?

Thank you all for your help already but anything else anyone can tell me will help. I want to get this car running so i can go play

From both prior post from very knowledgable builders, put it back in and check it as desribed. I am not suprised the instructions are vague about it tho. Definately a legit confusion in TCIs directions.
