v8 T5 behind V6
v8 T5 behind V6
I wonder if y'all can help a project I'm working on. I've got a HT 3.4 V6 crate motor and I want to use a WC V8 T5 transmission. I need to use a S-10 V6 housing to get the shifter orientation correct. So I'd have a 3.4 V6 with V6 bellhousing and V8 T5. What flywheel/clutch setup could work for this application? The V6 clutch won't work because of the spline count.

Re: v8 T5 behind V6
I thought the V6 clutch disc was 9 1/8" and 14 spline and the V8 clutch disc was 10 3/8 and 26 spline. So with a V8 clutch wouldn't you also need the V8 flywheel? I did not think a V8 flywheel would fit inside V6 bellhousing.
Thanks,
Tom

I used a 95 S10 2.2 liter 4 cylinder clutch disc. It is 9 1/8" diameter and 1 1/8" 26 spline input shaft - just like your V8 transmission!
I used my factory pressure plate.
