Will it fit?

Will a t5 from an 87 v8 transam bolt right up to my 92 camaro? And what all is involved in changing the speedo to a manual speedo(Camaro) vs the electronic(trans Am)?

Alos is there any good source for parts for the t5? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Will it fit?

Yes it will, but the 87 is the first design T5. The 88-92 2nd design is slightly better.

The electronic speedo and cable speedo on a T5 are interchangeable. Remove one, replace with the other.

Re: Will it fit?

The gear on the shaft doesnt need to be changed? I am getting the tranny without the cable, and will be using the stock manual cable....

Re: Will it fit?

Maybe, maybe not. It depends. Has nothing to do with electronic vs cable, has more to do with the number of teeth it has.
