doing 5sp swap in 89 iroc,t5 i have is electronic speedo but car has mechanical driven speedo.how do i make this t5 work with my car????

 

Piece of cake. All you have to do a mechanical speedo insert, or "bullet", as it's commonly referred to. The ones they sell all over on ebay for the TH350 transmissions will work perfectly in the T5. Just get one of those, and one of the 1 piece, plastic speedo gears with the correct number of teeth for your rearend ratio/tire size, and you'll be good to go. The retainer that's holding the electric sender in the trans will also work with the mechanical "bullet". Also make sure the o-ring is on the bullet so you don't have a leak.
