Re: 9 bolt spools
There is little to nothing available for the 9 bolt. Your best chance of finding anything is to find someone in Australia who might produce something for it. I really doubt you'll find a spool for such a small diff.

try this link to a shop in Australia for spools on a 9 bolt, this is there ebay site but can get about anything. I can't say for sure it they will work on our version of the 9 bolt (m78 series), because over in Australia the 9 bolt is as common as the 10 bolt is here and many different applications exist. contact Joe at street strip gears he is familiar with our version and has about any part for it. He sent me a new carrier, extra cones, new gear set and axles, very quickly and a pleasure to do business with, just don't be surprised when you see the shipping, it's not cheap.

Re: 9 bolt spools
Those would be an imported set. The lowest ratio ever offered was from GM. An over the counter set was 3.70 ratio and those are hard to find now.
3.27 and 3.45 are the performance ratios offered in production cars. If yours has 2.77 gears, you'll need a 3 series carrier to use a deeper ratio.
All the major gear suppliers in North America won't have a listing for the 9 bolt. It's not very common and like the 7-1/2" 10 bolt, it's not a very good performance diff to provide parts for. Yes it's better than a 10 bolt but when it was only offered from 87-89 in a few third gens, that isn't a very big market.

Re: 9 bolt spools
Here is an american supplier who carrys two brands each at 3.73 ratio for the 9 bolt, made in USA is a different story, probably China. Yukon is the cheaper one and US Gear is the better. They also carry GM factory sets (coming from Australia, of course), but at a premium price. Ring and pinion sets and set up kits for the 9 bolts is the easy part find, it's all the other parts like axles, posi cones, carriers.

Re: 9 bolt spools
I don't think 9bolt.com has been operating for quite some years now, no one has received a response to an e-mail to it for years, judging by reports on here. Although I can't speak for him for sure, it seems he got tired of people talking big about how they would buy all this stuff but then backing out when they saw what it actually cost. There was a great deal of complaining about how if it was a 10-bolt it would only cost half as much; well yeah, but it's NOT a 10-bolt. An ENORMOUS amount of his time and effort was spent dealing with people trying to get him to buy at whatever it cost and then sell cheep to them at a loss to himself. Can't say I blame him for abandoning it.
The 3.70 ratio was available from the factory. It came in 85 and maybe 86 L69 TAs.
You can get gears and most of the bearings; but carriers, cones, axles, and alot of other unique parts, are very tough to find. There's basically nothing out there except what you can get shipped from Australia, which is $$$$. If you intend to run that rear, it's something you'll just have to get used to.
