frustrated TV cable/ switching to Dish!
Ok...I asked about my 91 shifting very fast...1-3 crossing the street...so someone pointed me to the tv...i read all/tons of tv adjustment threads...untill i got it...went out and tryed it...went for a test drive...1 to second is late 4k at 1\4 throttle...so now i'm reading more and the tv topic goes on for ever...but i can't find anything that tells me which way and how to soften it a bit?....when the D thing is released is the cable suposed to move/slide inn and out...could my d thing be stuck inn?...not locking cable in place..or??

Re: frustrated TV cable/ switching to Dish!
ok...my own reply...so others my learn...read,and read posts all night....looked under the hood in the sunlight....and i see now!!...with the throttle wide open....push in the D lock...and push the black plastic piece inn all the way...and release D lock...your done!!!....shifts perfect!!.....WOT is @ 4,500 RPM...just before redline....and at crusing/normal speed it maintains 1,500 rpm or so...and rises to 2,000 or so for every shift......you see before it went through every gear crossing the inersection....after adjusting tv the wrong way...it would not shift into second untill 4,000...at normal speeds....what i did wrong was when in pushed the D lock inn i was pushing the cable towards the firewall...not the black plastic piece with all the little groves like a zip-tye....thanks everyone

Re: frustrated TV cable/ switching to Dish!
Hahahaha funny title for the thread. Adjusting the tv cable is really simple, and yet so many people don't have theirs adjusted properly. I had problems with mine, and it took me forever to get things adjusted correctly. All it took was a complete, accurate set of instructions and that was it.
Cheers!!
